Northeast India Birding Tour – 20 Days  15 Days - Private Tour

Upon your arrival at the Guwahati airport, meet your guide and a vehicle for entire tour a head, we drive to Nameri with several stops for birding including of Greater Adjutant location, also stop for lunch at appropriate time.

We will be already looking for our target species on this day including of White-winged Duck and Blyth’s Kingfisher

Overnight at Jungle camp

Nameri National Park: Located at the foothills of the eastern Himalayas, this National Park is Home to Tigers, Wild Elephants and many smaller mammals as well as many good birds including of Great Hornbill, White-winged Duck, Blyth’s Kingfisher.

Morning around Nameri National Park birding then later drive to Dirang, long drive but again we will stop time to time for birds and food.

Today very early morning we drive a day trip to Sela Pass and down to Tenga village for overnight

Sela pass can be very cold with nearly 4200 meters high elevation; there can be a lot of Snow as well. we can expect some interesting highland species there

Sela pass is at 4170 meters high beautiful Mountain pass in Western Arunachal Pradesh, known for its high-altitude Lakes and winding road with good birds to see and photograph.

Our destination is only 51 km which normally takes 3 hours, but we are birding at Eaglenest National Park on our way and get to Bompu Camp only later afternoon

Birding drive through Eaglenest Forest and around Lama camp forest aea then to Bompu camp for Overnight, (Note: if incase of not able to drive to Bompu camp through narrow with a lot of bending mountain road due to rain then we will stay after long day birding around either in Tenga or Lama Camp) Hotel here is very basic in the good birding forest.

Birding trek around the Bompu camp in the morning and later drive through Eagle-nest again on the way back and short drive to Tenga for Overnight.   Exploring the missing species of Birds from Eagle nest Centaury

After breakfast we will drive to Kaziranga National Park, we will stop on the way for birds and a lunch.

Arrive at Kaziranga, if time permits then we will have some exploring nearby area for birds

We will be doing two Safaris in the park one in the morning and other in the afternoon. as mid-day we can wonder nearest birding bushes to find some unusual species.

Full day Birding in and around Khonoma Nature Conservation and Tragopan Sanctuary, exploring its rich biodiversity.

Morning around in Khonoma area then after breakfast drive downhill to Gibbon Wildlife Sanctuary. We are stopping here as Tinsukia is little too far to reach in a day and take chance to see Hoolock

Easy bird walks nearby Hotel and look for Hoolock Gibbons if in case missed on previous day and then drive to Tinsukia.

Full day Birding at Maguri Beel and Dibru Saikhowa National Park. there are mostly water birds and Grassland species to be watched.

Morning drive about 30 km to Dihing Patkai National Park for few hours birding then continue drive to Namdapha National Park, A lot of birding experience in Dihing Patkai.

A day for excursion in search of the White-bellied Heron and many more around.

Morning Birding around Namdapha then later drive to Deban Camp upper part of Namdapha National Park

Morning Birding at Namdapha and later drive to Roing nearer to Mishmi hills

Early morning drive to Nizamghat grassland to search of Bengal Florican and then slow birding drive to Mayodiya pass through nice forest of Mishmi hills.

Mayodiya pass has no option of better accommodations then we are having one so far but good for birds as most birders want to visit there.

After early morning birding at this wonderful forest, we drive back to Tinsukia for overnight.

This will be our last night in Northeast India for this visit,
